For safer streets
Part of the "Chalk Back" movement, started in 2016 by Sophie Sandberg (@catcallsofnyc), Catcalls of Rome is born as a way for women and men of all ages to reclaim the streets of their city.
Created in March 2019 by Alessia, the page denounces the harassment people face daily by collecting their stories of verbal abuse via Direct Message on Instagram or E-mail, with the purpose of identifying the most vile sentences and write them down on the ground, right where they were pronounced, using colorful chalk.

Parte del movimento "Chalk Back", fondato nel 2016 da Sophie Sandberg (@catcallsofnyc), Catcalls of Rome nasce come un modo per donne e uomini di riappropriarsi delle strade delle loro città.
Creata a Marzo del 2019 da Alessia, la pagina si occupa di denunciare le molestie verbali raccogliendo le testimonianze di abusi verbali tramite i messaggi diretti su Instagram o le E-mail, allo scopo di isolare le frasi più ignobili e riportarle, con grandi gessi colorati, nel luogo in cui sono state pronunciate.
